Kilnworking Studio
To work with kilns, students get the chance to work with sheets and blocks of glass in order to make beautiful works of art. Stay out of the heat! Our Fusing and Slumping classes and Thick Block classes offer the newbie to glass and experienced glass artists an opportunity to make tiles, coasters, plates, or a thick block of glass with a unique image inside.
Classes are ongoing and rental for studio time is available.

Fusing and Slumping
In this class you will learn to cut, assemble and fire glass while producing coasters, tiles and plates. Class will include an introduction to the use of sheet glass, frits, powders and stringers within the kilnworking process. Basic kilnforming knowledge will be covered, including shelf and mold preparation, firing schedules.
Thick Block
If you like fusing and slumping you will love making a "Thick Block." In this class students have the opportunity to transfer a two dimensional image into a thick block of glass created by fusing paradise paint (enamel) between mutable layers of Glass.
Another technique that will be covered is Glass Sketch. This technique can be used on its own to create drawings or in combination with the thick block technique to add more dimensions to the piece.
